  2. My pursuit of happiness involves art, music, and skateboarding. Some other things that are important to me include my family, friends, and my image. Now that I’m close to finishing my bachelor’s degree I feel it’s not exactly what I was hoping for. I want so much more out of life than designing for clients who think they know exactly what they want. I feel that I have more to offer the world than an average employee for some random company. I have a lot of interests and I’m passionate about each and every one of them. Thankfully, my college career has given me the skill to speak through my artwork and think as a business owner.
I’m great at designing and I can learn software quickly, but sometimes I feel that won’t truly be enough to keep me satisfied. My life goal is to create and own a skate company, Racket. It’s more than a skate company though. I want to send a message to my followers. I want to challenge the norm and start a movement. I want people to be excited about my team.
We grew up together in the Midwest, which doesn’t have a strong voice in the skateboarding industry. When I see my friends skate, listen to them rap, and look at my artwork; I get this feeling that it was meant to be. There is a reason my friends and I are amazing at what we do and haven’t been separated. Our journey was meant to be lived and fulfilled together, because that’s when we are strongest. We stand for something challenging, and we are very productive when around each other. We are each extremely creative in a variety of ways and our potential is unlimited. We learn from each other and each person brings their own skills to the table to make it all work.
For instance Domonic and Caleb are amazing at skating. When I say amazing, I mean jaw dropping, untouchable, violently talented people. They are my poster boys, and they are the foundation of our image. My friend John inspires me. He lives life as if consequences don’t exist. When I’m around him I feel like I can conquer the world. He’s one of those people who uses his power for evil, but he is who he is, and either way he is vital to my company. He knows business for all the wrong reasons and I’d love to be the reason he uses his talents for good. I have several other friends involved in the business but for the most part, these three have played a huge part in building in my character.
I believe I’m better than any obstical placed in my path, but to pinpoint a few of the most intimidating, I’d mention money, support, and the fact that I’m in way over my head. However, I’m a visionary and there is more in store for Racket. The rewards I seek include life long friendship, financial success and traveling.
